Below are some of the frequently ask questions:

  • Once I become a member how long do I have to wait before I can place an order with the CMP?
    CMP requires membership in an associated organization. There is no minimum time you have to wait after becoming a member of ORPA before you can place an order with CMP.
  • What can I order from the CMP?
    The availability of different equipment can be found by going directly to the CMP website as ORPA has no control of what they offer. Civilian Marksmanship Program (thecmp.org)
  • How do I add a new question & answer?
    To add a new FAQ follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Add a new question & answer 3. Assign your FAQ to a category 4. Save and publish. You can always come back and edit your FAQs.

  • Where can I hunt in Ohio?
    The easiest place to start hunting is on public land. To see a current listing of public hunting land check out the ODNR website here: Public Hunting & Wildlife Area Maps If you want to expand beyond public hunting land, then you will need to seek out permission of private landowners to hunt on their property. Under Ohio law you must have written permission from the landowner with you while hunting on their property.
  • Where can I find Ohio hunting regulations?
    The best source for hunting regulations is the Ohio Department of Natural Resources website: Hunting and Trapping Regulations | Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ohiodnr.gov) If you have questions about the hunting regulations, we recommend contacting your ODNR district office and talking to them to clarify your question. Contact numbers can be found for each district office on the ODNR website.
